Just Wait Until The Campaign Gets Dirty
August 16, 2008Donald Kaul, who describes himself as “a two-time Pulitizer Prize-losing Washington correspondent” (for the Des Moines Register) summed up what I’ve been thinking.
In truth, it would be an exaggeration to call John McCain’s campaign tactics thus far “dirty.” Tacky, certainly, but they have not yet risen (or fallen) to the level of “dirty.” (Although the ad lying about Obama blowing off a visit to wounded troops in Iraq so he could get a photo op comes close.)
Right now, it’s more at the level of a high school jock yelling insults at the smart kid who’s stealing his girl. “Nyah, Nyah, you’re an intellectual and your mother dresses you,” that sort of thing. Kid stuff.
Look at what they’re hurling at Obama and what it really means:
- He’s articulate (for a black man)
- He went to a black church (he’s black)
- He’s arrogant (he’s an uppity black)
- He doesn’t put his hand on his heart for the Pledge of Allegience (he hates America, )
- He’s not patriotic (he’s black and hates America)
- He associates with radicals (he’s really really black and really hates America)
- He’s a Muslim (boy is he black, and boy does he hate America)
We’re also told that he is a celebrity who gives really good speeches and attracts thousands of people to his events. This, to McCain supporters, is a negative. McCain, whose appeared on Letterman, the Tonight Show, the Daily Show, and many others, was never heard of before this presidential race, can’t give a speech, and is allergic to crowds?
When McCain starts to fall behind in the polls and his advisers tell him he has to fight dirty to win, how are they going to top themselves?
Will John McCain be called upon by the mainstream media to RENOUNCE and REJECT the anti- Semite Jerome Corsi??
My answer to that is “no.” John McCain will not renounce and reject this fictional book of children’s books and other sorts of Klan literature.

Because he did in 04 when Coursi smeared Kerry’s military record:

We really should start spreading some good old-fashioned scurrilous lies about McCain, because that’s how “real Americans” do politics, and why should the rightists have all the fun?
Let’s see: McCain will re-institute the draft, and federal “equal rights” laws will require that women be drafted. He has secret plans to go to war with Iran, China and North Korea. He’ll continue the Bush class warfare policy of giving tax breaks to the rich. He’ll increase the Bush socialist policy of giving tax breaks to corporations and the socialist policy of bailing out big corporations which give $100 million bonuses to their CEOs. He’ll repeal Medicaid and Medicare and all federal legislation regulating the prices of drugs. He’ll repeal Social Security. He’ll lease the entire country to Exxon and let them sell all the oil to foreign countries. He’s secretly in league with right-wing fanatics who want to bring back segregation and make all forms of birth control illegal, and deport or incarcerate all muslims, plus make prayers in schools and Christian bible study mandatory.
He wants to make English the official language and outlaw the use of any other language by any and all government agencies. He’s going to sell all the highways and ports and airports to foreign governments. He’s going to privatize all police and fire departments, so if you don’t pay “protection” tax no one comes when you dial 911.
Plus he’s a citizen of Panama.
And he’s a hot-head.
And he’s really really old.
McCain was programmed by the Vietnamese/Chinese/Russians and sent back to us as a Manchurian candidate.
Or, can we even be sure it’s really John McCain they sent back? Huh?

It depends on what the right considers “racist”. If a republican would have said the exact same thing, you would have considered him fearless for being so audatious. But of course since Joe Biden is a democrat, you consider him a racist.
You need only to look at your “decider guy” to discover true racism. Case in point: the 2000 election. Nuff said.
